Davidsen 009 PVD

Watch looks good, but there is a small problem on one lugg and the movement is working abrutly so Davidsen is shipping me a new one next week, top notch seller!!

thought you guys would like to see how good the watch is however:

If that was just that I probably would have kept the watch as I believe not a lot of almost 10y/o pvd watch has no scratches...

No I need a bracelet on this baby!

USPS tried to deliver my 202a today at 6:58AM - but strangely, no-one was at the office

I just picked up my 202a. It looks great! The lume is great on the hands, ok on the dial. PVD looks great. I think I will have to pick up some more PVD's

From the picture looks like some part got scratches or no PVD on it ..thats what I can see..

i have heard 3-4 defects from the first batch already , from scratches to loose dial / movement

even 3 or 4 defects on 30 is not much, be sure of that...

There is a scratch on the left lug on the last pic, no PVD left... too bad, but the main concern was the UNITAS acting weird...

The Lume is ok on the dial, but still better than on my previous PAM, hands lume is great probably due to them not being that "yellowed" because lume on the dial to me is more yellowish than orange...

To me the 009 look and lume makes me think of an AP Offshore end of days!!

Anyone ever tried to custom make a strap a la AP RO that is expending as wide as the lug?

Add me to the defect list. I just got my 009 today. The dial and movement rattle around in the case and aren't fixed inside. I think that's what he means by "collapsed". At first I thought the rehaut looked a little deep. I was wearing my 036 and was able to compare and noticed that there was a gap between the dial and the case on the 009. You could wiggle the crown back and forth and the face/movement shucks back and forth with it. The movement holder must be broken or defective. The pvd on one side is also slightly uneven. It changes it's tone of black halfway down the side where the upper 50% is slightly darker. Also, when you pull the crown lever out, you can see that the PVD is worn off to bare metal where the lever is held with a pin. I would expect that to happen eventually since it is plated, since the friction of the lever rubbing against the guard with opening and closing wears on this part, but I'm not to happy with getting it out of the box this way. I think that any deep scratches are going to show the metal, since the pvd didn't look very thick in this region. I haven't emailed him yet since I wanted to send him pictures and I haven't taken any yet. I'm sure he'll make things right. I regret this purchase. I thought the quality would be top notch since they all passed through his hands for assembly. Again, I'm sure he'll make things right. Aside for these quality issues, the watch does look pretty kick ass. I wouldn't recommend wearing it too often b/c of wear issues.

You know after all this talk about the dial I looked closely at my dial also. An indeed it is collapsed on one side. According to David because of some tab or clamp that wasn't put in. Am in discussion with David about the situation. Will follow up.

Davidsen is going to ship a new watch for me next week. I have to ship the old one back to Hong Kong. Do I ask for a refund on the shipping?

THIS IS WAT I DONT WANT TO HEAR...funny business...ermmmm I hope i will get a really nice watch without any defact..coz..i dont have any passion for this sort of funny business...

he should make everythings right...becoz..like he said..every single one of it..got quality control and he should check them each ..to a single details...after all the watch is expensive...for some..or for a lot of people like me...

well how bout .no need to ship the defact watch at all ..it takes time..and waste ur time and ur money..the shipping money ..if you want to send it back to HONGKONG ..please do ask for it... .just ask for a new watch ...thats more appropriate ..for all the promising ..issues before that he gave...

David, please help us ...make the best with quality control..you dont one this happen to all ur customer....it will be very sad...we wai for it ..for a long time ...and just wait...come to this DARK SIDE..every single day ...looking for some info...and waiting waitin waiting..

Once the watch arrive...we're not satisfied with the watch...coz..we already paid for quite a lot of money...so ..it will be sad to your customer...even me...who just read..all the defacts..

What else can I say...finger cross...please make it right ...for the sake from trusty customer around the world..

Well,

My first batch pvd has some little probem.

I did not assmble the watches myself and have to send them for assembling.

My watch assemblers(it is relly undergrund and loated in a mysterious palce in china)missed
putting the tabs/or small metal parts which are placed between the movt screws and
case.I did not notice this as i was paying too much attention to my pvd finishing.

simply becase all my eta swiss movt do not come with small tabs.

But cn 6497 do come with tabs like this with the movt.

The results is some watches arrvied its long disantce destinations may find that the movtt
may rattle a bit because one of its screws indise may lossen druign transport.

I did not know until Rocket e mailed and told me his case.since he got soem spare tabs by him.
He simply put them abd fix the problem.Thank you @ rocket.

But not every buyer is as pro as rocket.

Some buyers receeived the wtahc in good conditon.I have emled them and tell them the
little problem they may encounter. i will send them the small tabs for them to fix it
if they know the way.Tehy sinmply accpt.

Some buyers do not know they way to put the tabs back.I simnply ask them to send back to my
HK post box address and i will add back to tabs my self.

1/2 buyers may find the pvd fisnish not so good and have scratches on it.
I will give a total new repalcement.

Jsut to tell you guys that i stand behind my goods.
