I have a VSF DJ41 that I wear A LOT. Last weekend, the pin that connects the clasp to the jubilee bracelet either fell out or broke (Pitcure #1 below). This normally wouldn't be an issue as I've got extra pins from the links that I took out however, none of my pins seem to fit. They screw in halfway and stop. (Picture #2 below). Is it typical for this pin to be a different size, or do you think that there is likely a piece of the old pin stuck inside? If it's a different size, then great maybe I can find a pin that fits. If not, I'll have to source a replacement VSF Jubilee (which nobody seems to have).

I'm pretty new to repairing my watches. I've had pretty good luck with all of my reps so far and have only really had to change bands or resize thus far. If you could please help advise what you would consider the best steps to take, I'd love to wear my watch again. Thanks!

Your missing link screw is shorter than the others because the hole doesn't go all the way through the opposite side bracelet link. Replacement link screws are available from many vendors online - Ali Express, Ebay, Esslinger, Ofrei, etc. It would be useful to measure the diameter and length of one you have, and then deduct from the length the amount left sticking out in your pic. It will probably be cheaper and more beneficial to buy an assortment pack of link screws.

As an alternative you can reshape a link screw (or any SS pin or rod) - cut, grind, sand, etc and epoxy it into place. This might not be suitable for some people but I have made plenty of similar minor repairs to reps with epoxy and have never had one fail.

I did a "custom" screw reshape for a San Martin oyster style bracelet by grinding a spare link screw for putting in an aftermarket flip easylock 😅

then I found these

Yeah that’s what I will do if the „experiment“ goes wrong. Atm I don’t see myself spending 150 bucks because a damn screw was broken 🙄
Well you get a new clasp. New links. And you can always sell the band, with openness and clarity of the screw missing, on M2M and at least recoup a bissele
