D4M, you got me hooked at the gathering! This is now on my list! Thanks a lot for pulling my wallet out of my pocket for me without my awareness!

It's simply great,... it's simply "high design", I only hope the band doesn't crack easily.

I picked it up at TJ Maxx, I'm always looking for cool props.. just have not found anything else that turns me on yet..

I guess I'm going to have to try sex toys next.

You should do a quick car and driver style long term update. Still happy with it after 6 months? How does the day/date align?

The day/date align great. I still think it is one of the coolest watches I've ever owned..
But the comfort is just not there. This is not a comfortable watch for me to wear.
I consider the HBB Big Bang more comfortable to wear.

As you could imagine, the buckle on the bottom scratches pretty easily.. but this can obviously be taken care of by 1 of 100 different methods.

I have not had any problems with it, I keep it on a winder and have never had any trouble. It keeps good time and looks excellent.

Still satisfied but eventually moving on to a Graham or other new watches.

I think I may find myself trying the Rolex Ceramic GMT even though I am not a rolex fan.

Wow, less comfortable then the HBB... That was at one time my grail watch (actually on bracelet it still is my grail, but we'll probably never see it) but I sold it because IT was just not comfortable enough for daily wear.

Here is why I think that it is less comfortable..

Ever watch has some degree of "play" between the strap/bracelet and the case... even if it is a couple millimeters..
this helps the case adjust to wrist movement..

You DO NOT have this play on the Porsche Flat 6 . There is ZERO play between the two.. so wrist movement becomes slightly uncomfortable..

The only difference might be for people who wear their watches above the ??wrist bone?? or whatever the term is for that little knob that sticks up. I wear mine between that and my hand.. so I need more wrist play than someone who wears it differently.

Kudos on the review.

I've like this piece since day one - but thought/feared it was too big for my wrist... your sharing on the wrist play confirms this is not the watch for me - but it's still a looker,a solid watch for someone else - and hey, an effective review tells you when NOT to buy as much as when to fork over the green...

Thanks man - and, yes, your macros are lookin' pretty good there...

The back of this superb Rep can be modified to be practically a gen´s back.

I made this job on a rep of a colleague:

Follows a picture of the gen:

The flaws:

Very similar flaws to Hublot rep. Fine regulator and bearing.

However, swapping the bearing is really more complicated than in the Hublot

Final result:

Great Watch and not appreciated enough by the community, as near as perfect a rep as you can get in my opinion. Got mine a couple of weeks ago and is shortly going to Francisco's for the rotor mod.
Enjoy

I really want to spend a few more words for a review of this kind.
Awesome pictures, love for details, sharp descriptions and even a comparison with a known rep to appreciate the size and the general feeling of the watch.

Great thread really, thanks D4m.

Any suggestions as to the best place to pick up the red dial version of this? It really is a fine looking piece. Are all the vendors selling the same high quality rep?
