Customs risks INTO CONUS

Hi all,

Been searching the FS threads and there are several reps I would like to buy but everyone that ships INTO the CONUS says the buyer(me) would assume any and all customs risks.

What kind of risks are there other than customs keeping the watch (which would SUCK!)?

How likely is it that US customs or even the sellers point of customs would seize the watch?

Thanks for the insight.

I've never had a problem. My sources tell me that they're not interested in wasting time intercepting small one-off packages from China or the EU, provided they pass the canine smell test.

No worries about it although I would order just one watch at first until you get a little more comfortable with it.

Unless of course you live in a remote area of Ohio, in which case customs will come directly to your door hahaha just kidding.

The two port of entries for me are Los Angeles and San Francisco, and never had a problem...So good luck and have fun.

I just bought two APs that cost more than I wanted to but worth every penny and more. They came from Australia and arrived quickly without tampering. The person I bought them from just put on the box, watch repair, no batteries. Which I thought was clever lol.

I bought a Tag Heuer from China and it went through US customs. When I got it the package had been opened and the watch just thrown back in. It was in OK condition but customs did look at it!

like many said, don't worry about it. i've only purchased on rep so far but i've had many different items shipped from overseas over the years and never had an incident (knock on wood!)
