Custom PVD'd and DLC'd 187 and 243 subs

Hi all.. Just sharing a recent project that's finally complete.. I've always liked PVD/DLC'd watches and been wanting a pair of black submersibles to add to my collection.. I had the 508 but preferred the dials of the older 187 and 243 models..

Below is a PVD'd 187 (soon to be franken'd with Gen dial and hands) and a DLC'd 243.. Notice the finish comparison between the PVD vs. DLC .. Enjoy the pics and thanks for letting me share my excitement for these two custom pieces !!

Side note: Big thanks to Grimlock for the work on the 187!

Now These are some "Good Looking Subs!"

Wonder how the markers on the bezels are going to hold up in PVD.
Would love to know the reason for going PVD on one, and PVD'd DLC on the other.

The courser blast finish before coating on the 187 really makes it POP!

I fear the courser finish, and weaker pvd will wear much faster. Particularly on the Markers.

What was the matrix of the PVD?
