Hi Peeps,

gotten a Noob V7 DSSD D-Blue from Sora which i received back 2 days ago which is on sunday.

the watch movement is alright but i got issue screwing back the crown.
it has that "stuck" feel most of the time and it's as though it is rusty within it (that sort of feeling)
it's still possible to screw back but need to unscrew and rescrew prob once or twice to get it in.

i been playing rep hence i know the "smoothness" of it.
The crown definitely is an issue and i would like to avoid sending it back to china if possible hence was wondering whether is it hard to have it fix by watchsmith?

Hope buddies with knowledge can advise on this matter.

thanks :)

I'd be interested to hear suggestions on this as well ...

My initial thoughts would be to lube up some fine steel wool and make a couple of passes over the threads, but then again, I buy a lot of WD-40 haha

Looks like the the crown needs some oiling mate. Dont play too often with it now, since you can destroy the threads. I dont know which exact lubing but you can put a drop onto the tube and then screw in - screw out.

If you can remove the crown/stem yourself I would advise removing the crown, cleaning the threads of the tube and inside the crown with a soft brush and trying it out then because I have had them come with dirty threads

Just to check, do you only get that feeling when trying to screw down the crown to locked position, or does it feel scratchy when in 'wind' position?

hm... got no idea how to remove the crow... but base on your comment... doesn't seem too tough for watch smith.. :)
