You'll likely get a bunch of different answers on this, I've personally had 3 V2's. I also speak to MajorWilliams (Watchmaker who is US based, has worked on likely 100 of these) a lot, overall reliability is fine however the clutch in the keyless on the base V2 is very brittle and prone to breaking if over used and unlubricated. This is really the only ongoing issue with the movement, so I usually tell people to be very gentle and deliberate with time setting (this is when the clutch is engaged and prone to breaking). Get it serviced if and when you can.

However, I should note that this is a VERY complicated rep movement. This isn't like your standard rolex clone or whatever so there are a handful of smaller issues that can happen.
Thank you for the answer, the most important question is if it is possible to repair the movement if something happens to it or if it is possible to buy and replace the whole movement

Buying the movement is likely next to impossible. I have a spare movement because I bought it off a friend who was upgrading to the ACE 240 movement. But just going by what MajorWilliams has told me, anything like a broken part or something will likely have to be sent back to china for repair.

I bet even them won't have any spare parts to fix it
This was my problem from day one with those expensive rep movements

I guess I will wait a bit fir a new version that is more stable and probably give a second try with the 5711 but with some mods because the first time things didn’t worked out between us 😂😂😂 and maybe this time I will go with the gold version which has always been a grail watch for me but could never justify so much money for the gen…

General consensus is that a V3 will likely never happen, but, who knows- maybe one day!

Thank you for the answe. I am almost at the point of pulling the trigger, but I am from the people who don’t baby their watches gen or rep, I am not swinging my arms like a crazy man hopping to hit my watch somewhere , but I am always in a hurry and sometimes accidents happen and knowing that the movement is so fragile I think it would be best for me to look in another direction 😢

Chazing Time seems to have 1,288 and 1,688 option for their PPF 5712 with SW mods, anyone knows what’s the difference? I’m looking to get one with the SW Dial hands moonphase set and pinion mods

adding more images just in case folks are curious :)

this is the VSV dial with ace movement and 22k gold rotor, QC pics came exactly 1 month after payment was made
Thanks for pics

VSV dial looks very similar to SW. The issue of numbers 25 and 29 is the same. For the engraving of the movement I don't understand why in the writing "Patek" the "P" is not regularly close to the "A". What do you think?

Ps. In any case congratulations, really very very beautiful

didn’t notice until you pointed it out LOL. i took a look at the patek website and noticed that there’s actually a gap between P and A as well, just perhaps very slightly less pronounced, perhaps due to the size of the engraving itself.

either way, for <10% the price of gen, i can’t complain. i tell myself that if this were gen, it’ll probably be worth much more because of the error itself LOL.

After I wrote the post I did the same thing, you're right! I had never noticed it but really even in the official photo on the site there is the same proportion in the distances. It's really very very beautiful. I think I'll set the trigger soon! As soon as you have it in your hands it would be really useful for everyone to have some photos and some feedback on how it works. Have a good day!

Any serious long time experiences with the free sprung movement?

Does the 24k gold rotor update make sense for me? I own the 1,6k$ 5712 and don't have problems with enough self winding.

I'm in doubt with myself to pull the trigger for a 4k$ replica...

in all honesty, i feel like it's probably worth jumping from a stock PP5712 to a 4k rep, not so much so from a 1.6k 5712 to a 4k rep. maybe wait for the price of the ace movement to drop further?
