I am a Panerai fan, and I agree with him. Yes, there are differences, but 90% of those watches look the same from 10 feet away. Of course, being a watch whore like most of us are, we would still kill our unborn to have what that guy was selling !

slow down....i dont think he is a private collector, he´s watchseller. selling watches is his job, who knows if he is the actuall owner. Who is so stupid to buy many PAMs which look 95% similar????

I once thought all Pam's looked alike but now I know better, it's all in the details!
Also thought Rolex were the most boring watches ever made, then I discovered vintage Rolex and it's all in the details :-D

On topic, I wouldn't mind any of those Pam's except the price tag.

It's all relative.
But even for someone who can afford a million+ usd in watches, this is a bit excessive (i.e. hoarding).
I guess we've seen some rep members go overboard as well with like 100 rep watches... I think that's pretty much the same thing. A total waste of money.

In both cases, they could've settled for a lot less (10 instead of 200) and buy higher end watches (minute repeaters and haute horlogerie etc for that panerai owner and a few gen for the 100 rep owner).
It would've been less hassle to sell them and they would have more special timepieces instead of 200 similar ones.
