Super Quality! ) now correct me if im wrong but there's a post here that says stay away from those who preach this, and that there's only asian movement in these watches , im confused lol i like the yacht master v2 but im not sure who to get one from.

Hm, I wasn't aware of this. Can you PM me or one of the other mods/admins the name of this dealer?

Thanks.

A lot of times when they say made from dissected genuine to 1:1, they are not far from the truth. In fact it is not 1:1, but pretty damn close to it. The case dimensions are going to be precise, the dial will be closer to gen, etc.... There will only be minor flaws to the watch here and there. This also usually has nothing to do with the movement they use.

@ahw, I have seen this on the websites of a lot of our trusted dealers. I don't really take it to heart, as I just assume they mean that they dissected a genuine watch to make the rep, and its the closest they could get.

Thanks. I hadn't seen those before, but you are quite right.

@OP, you are correct that you should stay away from most dealers that promise this of all their watches. For our trusted dealers, I guess the best way to look at it is that you can trust that you will receive a watch, and as DonBrizzel says, in some cases it specifies that the case dimensions are 1:1, which may be true, even if the entire watch is not 1:1. But otherwise, do not actually expect the entire watch will be 1:1.

Exactly, don't expect it to be 1:1. But you can expect, from our trusted dealers, that if they are saying dissected and 1:1 case and all that jazz, that you will in fact receive a pretty decent looking watch from them.

what was the one watch that was so far different from the genuine it was comical yet it was claimed it was made 1:1 Genuine used for replication..

I think the Blue/Orange IWC 2009 was one, oh,, the Top Gun,, that was one of the funniest LIE , but hey,, why stop lying,, if everyone does not care (what seems to be the case when people continue to support them) then the lies only grow , get more extreme and sarcastic because they know they can get away with it.

Understood, it just jumped out at me when i was browsing and thought i'd get some clarification. I can completely understand saying that hey its as close to the original as we can get it, but with the language barrier 1:1 maybe their interputation of that very statement. Thanks again my brothers.

Swiss or American? :p

You guys are a bunch of clowns. I don't even know whether to move this to Flame-free or Looney Bin or what. But it's definitely digressed from Rolex replicas. :)

Now I know I don't know about replica production but

Aren't all reps copied from the original ?

Beach,
Reps can be/are made from magazine photos or advertising materials. Probably not that uncommon.

Comming back to the topic, the 1:1 is just a marketing campagne they run. Thes 1:1 are really good reps. Just look at the new Sinn U2 release...1:1, how could you screw of that seconed hand?
On a lot of 1:1 Breitlings the also say, you can replace all Parts with gen...ha ha ha...the bezels are pressed on and cannot get replaced. Some dials can, some cannot. So I still believe they are building all these watches from pictures and other Internet informations. I saw one Patek which also said build form a gen...this watchwas 20k USD...you think they buy this for replication?
FYI...In Germany is the biggest Automotive fair at the moment and on the first day they arrested a Chineese guy, he took over 12000 pictures the first day on every detail of some new cars :D :D :D
