Well agree 👍🏻 but all I want is get vsf3235 movement slap it in my clean case eave all as it is then only add gen parts as I got few and even balance wheel and bridge, spring barrel full set and ordering now forke and escape wheel, got gen plates also and balance plate full setup
You doing a full franken build?

Well, I do have to ask, do you have gen dial and hands and insert as well? Or are you just "frankening" the movement?

Wow, gen mainplate? Yeah then I would also go for the DD3235.

Guys quick question perhaps someone has tried this before, can I get a crown tube of an gen and slap it on to CF 126610LN case ? Using genuine steam and also genuine crown, this is because my CF case hosts genuine 3235 movement its well 89%-90% genuine some parts are vsf, thanks

So if I need a new dial for my VSF and i can't find one to buy I should get a Clean 126610 and not another vsf? Sounds that way. Esp if the case is also better. I built a super franken vs3235 only missing main plate, crown stem and gears for it. Accidentally scratched my dial when it fell on a gear. I had ordered a gen 3235 crown step but its not even remotely close to the crown stem in my vs3235. Everything else though looked near identical. I'll be assembling it tomorrow,

Does anyone know if there is a way to swap in a rolex movement retention ring instead of the little clips vsf and clean use?

Well from having both cases vsf and cf I can tell that cf case is at least to me closer to Gen, then you have dials got both dials and also got both main plates and loads of spare parts, except stem for crown but got some extra gen parts and I can say that I build fully gen 3235 only using the intermediate wheel of vsf and stem but yes CF is just over better case dial dno which is better looking at them both they actually look very very on point, I’m in search for gen dial and hands for my 126610LN gen

You couldn’t install a gen dial. There are no dial feet on the rep dials they’re press fit. Which also means there are no dial retaining screws, or even holes for them. It makes a lot of sense why so many people have misaligned repairs, I don’t believe it’s the rehaut that’s misaligned, rather the press fit dial that was put on slightly off, easy to do with no dial feet as a guide. Only way you could do it is if you bought a gen main plate. The other major tell on these reps is the movement is not retained with screw’s you tighten down and then rotate the movement. Instead they use little silver plates that fall out once you unscrew them. I was looking around last night to see if I could find a gen retaining ring but couldn’t find one anywhere. My guess is the gen retaining ring is part of a gen case. So you’d need to buy a gen case to have a gen ring.

I may be wrong on the dial not matching a gen. But I can't imagine Rolex would remove dial feet from a dial and have it press fit. I don't have a gen here to compare to. Perhaps someone who does can chime in as to whether the 126610LN has a press fit gen dial with no dial feet or retaining screws on the side.

Thats the newest vsf dial. Scratched it when it fell on a gear so looking for a replacement but you can see no dial feet.

Question is for me at least which gen dial fits 41mm sub on 3235 and then which of dials is better VSF or CF dial ? Both have no legs to go into movement I got gen 3235 and what I have done is just simply use thin double glue tape and get dial seated nicely!

Can anyone tell which Gen Sub dial will fit the 41mm 126610 case

Also new 3235 movement dial for sub do not have any fit to get tide up with screws on side of main plate, my gen 3235 has no issue with alignment of dial just seats were it must and date window is perfect lined up, also regarding the small holding movement legs they are there even on gen and it has nothing to do with case as gen case has same legs to hold movement, see photos below I found

Also worth to say that there is gen 3235 plate on sale on eBay for 999$ but has jewels on it, so can be great candidate for someone’s build !
