I think you are correct on that BT, but as previously stated by Tak, the Rep model does have the wrong second hand...
The rep version has the right second hand for the version released just before the new one. I've seen ones in shops that are identical to mine and it's scary close.

I'll take your word for it Pug, this one is definitely on my list!

If you look at the black version with triangular second hand (the one that sd4000 posted) you'll see that the 12,9 and 6 markers aren't "flat". But then again they look flat on the blue one I posted earlier. But all have thick date window box... the thin box seems to be only on the older version.

I also find it strange that Breitling site doesn't show this triangular second hand model at all. It must be very, very new.

The new pointed seconds hand is a rolling production change on the SFSO.

I was in an AD that just got a new and latest SFSO white dial that had the square sec hand. While they had a black dialed one from a month or two ago that had the pointed.

No one has made any mention of the different date fonts, I received two this morning and they both have different date fonts neither of which i beleive to be correct .looking at the various pics that members have posted i can see at least 3 fonts, the gen pics that Pug posted also have a differnt font than in my chronolog book.

I agree. The rep date font isn't 100% on my watch. I didn't mention it, because I simply didn't notice it.

So... supposedly the older batch of this rep had perfect font?

@thelawnmower: there's extensive discussion on this one. Check out updated seadweller's review.

@ByTor: Yes, the earlier Swiss SFSO batch comes with correct datefont.

Again this is definitely professional review. I put off the Britling for a while but this review really wakes me up again. Now I have difficult time to decide which to go first between this Britling SO and IWC 3717 which also has a huge price reduction now.

Thank you so much for a great work that benefit us all. Very much enjoy reading your review.

@ Tak I dont believe Seadwellers Font to be correct either, its the same as one of the ones I had delivered
here yesterday and it has splayed ends on the end of the digits ,Which I dont think is correct for this model although Breitling do use that font on the standard Superocean but not the Steelfish , it looks, apart from the splaying to be more correct but still not like any gen pics I've seen of the SFSO, the other one I had delivered did indeed have the standard ETA font.

Here is Seadwellers Pic of a Superocean (note the Splaying)

The date font often changes when the new production run comes out from the factory. This also happened with the Seamaster Chrono. I got one from the first batch, and it has the correct ETA datefont. The later models have it wrong.

For me the date font isn't such a big issue, unless it's completely wrong... a´la TAG Link Chronograph "brushed" early version. I recall they also supplied some Carreras with this horrible date. Date font is also difficult to replicate, unless the makers have access to the genuine watch. I've heard they have replicated many watches, using only reference pics as their source.

People often complain about the accuracy of Rolex reps, but many of them have excellent date fonts.

I fully agree By-tor its not such an issue for me either , I only brought it up to be constructive, I ordered 2 ,
cos one was for a mate and I ended up with the standard ETA font .
On a slightly different note I have to say how surprised I was with the overall quality of this watch, the A/R has to be seen to be beleived, and the bracelet quality also surprised me, ( I was going to put the brown strap on as soon as it arrived ) but I'm leavin the bracelet on for a bit. Its truly an awesome watch.

I have been out of the replica loop for a while. Just wanted to find out how the Breitling Superoceans with the asian movement is compared with the eta versions. Can you tell the difference in the crystals?
Thanks for any advice
