According to recent market rumors and news shared by WeChat dealers, Clean has recently improved their Shanghai SH3235 movement. The new, upgraded movement will be used by Clean in the near future, once their existing stocks of Datejust, Submariner, and Yacht-Master watches with the old SH3235 have been sold out.

Looking at the picture below, the movement on the left is the new SH3235, compared to VS3235 on the right. You can notice some differences - the new SH3235 has the beat adjuster arm and the regulator arm facing outwards, unlike the old version where they faced inwards. Additionally, the new SH3235 has extra golden engravings added to the automatic rotor.

As per the dealers, Clean claims that their new SH3235 will offer a power reserve of approximately 70 hours with further improvements to its accuracy and reliability.

@CTime, are you able to confirm?

@dogwood, if true, will you update your guide please?

Interesting. I’ve seen rumors about this on WeChat too. It’s hard to see but I think there will still be an easy way to tell the VS3235 from the new SH3235 — the VS3235 hairspring spirals inward in a clockwise direction, and although it’s hard to tell I think the new SH3235 coils inward in an anti clockwise direction. But that’s impossible to see in these pics and is yet to be confirmed.

Regarding the power reserve, that will only reach 70 hours if SH has implemented a chronenergy escapement (high lift angle and skewed pallet fork). We didn’t see this in the SH4131 but it is present on the VS3235 and looks to be present on the dd4131. So my bet is that the 70 hour power reserve claims on this new SH3235 aren’t true.

This movement has been out for a month, some models have already been shipped with this movement. Dealer says he tested it for 70h PR, but I haven’t seen non dealers claim this yet

Interesting. I can't wait to get one of these new movements on my bench so I can see how it's changed compared with the VR3235... I suppose we should also come up with a name for this new movement to differentiate it from the VR3235. Two options are SH3235 or CF3235. The SH prefix fits because it's made by Shanghai movement factory, but Shanghai movement factory also also makes the VR3235 so that might cause confusion. The CF label makes sense since CF is the first watch factory to use this movement and using watch factory names for movement prefixes isn't without president (e.g. VS3135, VS3235, etc). But I suspect this new movement will end up in a lot of different factory's watches, so it'd be odd to talk about the CF3235 in an EWF/ARF/BPF watch. Maybe we should as @CTime how this new Shanghai 3235 movement is being referred to in China, and we can follow their lead?

Remember it is improved by CF and CF may have exclusive rights to use it in their watches, hence CF3235 might the right label.

CF3235 seems fitting.
Either that or SH3235.2

i vote we name it the "Rolex Super Clone but Not Really 3235 Generation 2" or RSCBNR3235 Gen II
Love the way that rolls off the tongue but my smooth brain ain't gonna remember it so my vote goes to "CF Ticky Boi 2.0"

Ok... I think this might need to become a poll thread so that we can have a vote. Standby I'll create one.

I can confirm that my Clean DD 36 have a whopping 77+ hours power reserve!! Insane. You put it down on a Friday after work and it runs Monday morning.
