Clean new released 226627 Titanium Yacht Master comparison with GEN

The titanium screws came out as expected, gen like, without scratching or damaging the screw heads. He praised the ceramic tubing in the bracelet around the screws, which seems to be of very high quality. He was also impressed by the dial. However, the back wasn’t really tight screwed, so he was able to open it easily to take a look at the movement. He advised against pressure-testing it to 10 bar, as there’s a risk the crystal could shatter and the glass shards might damage the dial. The date changes 7 minutes before midnight, that's still within acceptable tolerance and not worth removing the hands to correct. Depending on the lighting, the watch appears either grey or black, which I really like.

How much did you pay for those tests?

Is it me or the cyclops and/or the date wheel has issue?

I came to this thread from reddit and read it from start to finish looking for comments on this. In reddit a lot of people were complaining about the date wheel, saying it was an instant tell, that it was trash, and so on.
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it, but having no experience I cannot say much. However, after 18 pages of people discussing here every possible detail and nobody even mentioning the date wheel, I'm leaning towards the people over at reddit just saying bullshit. Wouldn't be the first time.

There's nitpicking for nitpicking sake like Reddit does and actually discussing serious flaws. There can always be something to nitpick on replicas. 1:1 only comes when the price is 1:1.

Does the cyclop make the datewheel look a little wonky in comparison photos at 50x zoom? Yes. It seems they may have not applied the cyclops perfectly dead center on the datewheel. Then look at the real life wrist shots others have posted. Is it actually an issue? No it isn't.

For those who are picky, gen datewheel and gen crystal would resolve any flaws with this. Or heavy QC checking for cyclops alignment.

And I guarantee if Clean never does this Clean vs Gen post, anyone would have said anything. Only when they do these gen vs rep side by side does the "complaints" come flooding in.

I found RWI via RepTime and stayed on to do the homework. Reddit is great for QC help. But the details in these forums are incredible.

super easy to size the bracelet, no noticable rotor noise and is probably the most comfortable rep I’ve got !
looks and feels great on the wrist.
im very happy and would recommend. I think this one will get a lot of wear.

This thing is great on the wrist. The bracelet color is noticeably gunmetal darker and alongside the matte bezel and black dial + weight, give it a very different feel on the wrist vs the other Rolex reps I have.. it’s more a stealth mode vs the GMT M2’s attention grabbing jubilee bracelet and Daytona bracelet’s shiny polished center links. The bracelet itself and case doesn’t have any sharp edges (like some of the recent APSF, for example) and is comfortable to wear.



Also on rotor noise: I haven’t noticed the rotor noise when I actually wear the watch on my wrist, only if I put it within a couple of feet from my face and shake it.

Got both of mine. What an amazing piece
Vr3235 movement isn't my favorite. The tube / crown is gritty but will be replacing with gen. The crystal is really nice but the mag is missing that gen halo look.

7.25 inches so our wrist size is pretty close.

You’ll be fine. I’m 17.5 and it doesn’t feel too big at all. I’ll add that it’s on the slimmer side compared to the subs and GMTs, so that also helps the size feel on the wrist.
