Clean new 224270 explorer I 40mm updated [GEN COMPARISON]

I have the 39mm from Clean and am seriously considering buying this one too (I’ve always wished it was just a bit larger). But I’ve read in a couple of places that this one actually wears smaller than the 39mm? Anyone with both who can confirm or refute this?

I don't think you'll notice any difference in size... The thing that bothered me with the 39mm was the matte dial, I much prefer glossy dials. And a bit of AR on the crystal.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I’ve concluded The new dial does look sexy though. Knowing myself, it’ll probably end up in the collection eventually

I made payment on November 29th, on December 2nd recerived qc pics but was an vfs with little crown, I had 2 wait untill December 13th for the new batch qcs with 6,5mm crown, I give the ok, on December 16th it was sent. awaiting for the parcel to arrive.

I've actually changed my order to Clean. I just need to see what it's like...
Shipping times are a bit slower this time of year, but I think yours should arrive very soon. Do share some pics when it lands ( but not in this thread, this one is for the Clean version ).

I’ve got a CF 39 on my wrist right now and I tell you, if I’d had this buying experience over, I would have upgraded the crystal at point of sale.


I’m going to have the 40 with that gloriously shiny dial one day soon.

It's important to note that the Ex 39 has no AR on it per gen so CF did it accurately!

Also don't think Deep has 39mm Ex crystals but I could be wrong.
