Also, is it just the lighting or reflections because the gray looks very difficult to distinguish in the photos. Is the gray color more obvious in real life?

it depends on the light ... the brighter the surrounding light conditions the more obvious the grey ;-)

Here are three RL-examples for the ARF Bruce Wayne - Clean shouldn´t be different. First indoors without artificial light. Second outdoors in the shadow. Third outdoors in bright sunlight ...

Also is this a DD or SH ? I’ve never been able to tell the difference lol. I just remember reading that clean will be discontinuing the DD soon supposedly

Not applicable to the GMT line.

Clean is still fitted with DD3285, No changes will be made for the time being. The SH3285 reverses the two outer stakes on the balance wheel and makes an outer stake to mimic the Gen , as you can see by the marked area in the picture below, this is the fastest way to differentiate between the DD3285 and the SH3285.

I just got the ARF version. In photos the the gray may look like
It blends into the black, but in real life under all lighting conditions so far the gray is easily distinguishable from all black.

My wife even noticed, she said “you got ANOTHER watch?”….she said she immediately noticed the gray on the bezel, so it clearly is distinguishable from an all black.

If you can’t do a comparison with the gen than a comparison with the latest ARF would be great to see, both watches look great and I’m sure they’ll be some slight differences on both

I have the gen GRNR and it never looks black, even just now in the almost dark at 9pm, indoors with barely any light, it still looks a clear grey, never once have I ever thought this could be a black GMT, these rep bezel colours are just not accurate.
