Clean 126518 gold daytona comparison Gen VS. Clean VS. VSF

Hi members,

We finally got the chance to finish this comparison with Clean’s release. It’s been a long time since we do vsf comparison, I miss our friend.

Both factories did a very good job, I’m very impressed by every details they presented.



Here let’s check some differences I noticed:

Plating: I think the plating color of both factories are slightly darker than the gen, it’s very hard to make it exactly the same, no judgment for it.

Dial: The sunburst effect of Clean is better but its color is slightly yellower. VSF, on the other hand, is a bit lighter.

Markers: The markers edge beveling of VSF is still not rounded enough, Clean is more accurate on it.

Hands: VSF still has a bit burrs on the edges, Clean is more polished and ‘clean’.

Lume fillings: VSF is a little whiter, Clean is more like gen with greyish tone and particle texture.

Bezel metal protector: VSF edges are too round not like gen clean cut.

Movement: Clean is still using SH4131 that they made together with SH movement factory, it’s stable. DD4131 from VSF is considered the most popular one.






Both factories had put a lot of hard work on this model, and both have pros and cons. Like the saying, there is no correct choice, only the one you like.

I think after looking at it it's really quite hard. Neither is out right better than the other. Maybe I would say aesthetics is Clean but value/movement might be VSF.

The most obvious reason to go for Clean is the dial, which looks better than VSF's color dial for sure. But then the movement edges to VSF. And VSF is ever so slightly cheaper than Clean.
