Chr Ward anyone?

Has anyone bought from these guys? http://www.christopherward-usa.com/

I'm looking particularly at http://www.christopherward-usa.com/men/view-all-mens-watches/makaira-collection/c50-cosc-gwk this one. It's not a perfect thing - I'd prefer plain steel to gold plate, and some decoration on the face would be nice - but it's a certified swiss chronometer for under a thousand US, and looks the part for a dress watch. Any thoughts?

Meh... makes me thing of Calvin Klein watches. Some of the dress watches are nice but I really don't care of the CGs on all the others. Almost all are just copies of what's already out there. Prices should be at least 40% less than stated- unless those are the "Suggested Retail" prices.

C.ward, makes an outstanding watch. I own a C60 trident and it is spectacular.

Yeah, another fan of CWard watches here. They did used to be a bit more reasonable but in all honesty they are very well built, swiss movements etc. Quite an under rated brand. I bought my wife one recently and she loves it as well.

What is great also about this brand is that it has a very active forum which helps design limited edition models, has loads of used watches for sale and gets you special email addy for head of customer service Wera (chri's wife)

They are aggressively expanding the brand and are knocking out some superb watches - even the logo has changed over recent years

I was very close to getting a trident GMT, I juts couldn't get past the size of it, it was just too big for my taste. . . If the CW were just a little smaller I probaly wouldn't have gotten the GMT rep.
