Ok, just got my hands on a Chopard Mille Miglia GTXL 2008 LE with Valgranges movement, did the usual unscrew crown --> wind clock-wise, but nothing seems to be working. The watch movement isn't ticking at all. Is there a "different" way to wind a Chopard watch?

Did you try lightly jarring the watch? I have a 21j watch that needs a good smack to get it going if the reserve runs down... I have to wind it up and bang it against my other hand and she starts up again.

Hold da uhren hausen between da index finger and thumb, Ja? Like you was going to throw da Frisbee (but don't let go). Oscillate da watch to and fro - dis will cause da balance wheel to move and stimulate da pallet fork!

sm iiH!
