Chopard MM GT XL - QC Pics & Vid from Lay

This is a watch I've wated since I got involved with reps, and I've considered the gen many, many times also.... Being a super rep, and being so happy with my Franken and high end reps, I guess I decided to finally take the plunge to try it out....

Lay is a class act as most know. Great prices, service etc - thanks mate.... The QC pics look great and movement seems to be VERY healthy. So now, I'm excited

Got one of those a few weeks ago from a member of the forums. Beautiful beast that is. We seem to have very similar watch taste, GTXL, Carrera 111H. If you get a BP ill think you've been looking in my watchbox lol.

Thanks brother - it's interesting how we all have different tastes... i tend to prefer chrono's, although I love the 111 (and obviously other pams)...

Here are some piccies for the Chopard fans out there On record, this is one of the nicest watches I've owned - and I've been lucky enough to own some great reps.... The quality of this one is widely accepted as top-notch by members across any forum I've seen - I can now vouch for these claims personally! AWESOME!

I have mused over this model for a while but it looks huge, I wear 44mm Pams and a Black Seiko Frankenmonster without feeling they are too big, I can't get away with a Breitling SA.
How does this compare , does it wear as a big watch?

I'd definitely recommend it. One of my favourites is a Tag Carrera day/date - it wears similarly to that watch, maybe a little bigger. It wears bigger than my 111h, but nowhere near as big as an SA.

Don't delay...I procrastinated for ages on this one (in hindsight, I have no idea why) and it really is AWESOME! The rubber strap smells a little 'burnt' with a hint of vanilla. I tried boiling it to remove the smell - it seems to have weakened the smell althogether, but still has a hint of vanilla....

I really love this watch. I have one of the first realeased.

When I bought it, I realized that it would be just perfect if it comes with a better AR, since I saw the gen at AD and it has a no-glass effect crystal, so I sent mine to Takashi for a AR job.

The result was awesome, but the numbers printed on the crystal were gone during the process. I don't miss them.
