Avoid the 2836 movement in a Sub, the crown position on the case is set too low (because the movement is a different size/depth to a 3135) and that closes up the crown guards so it looks fake before you start.

my budget was 300 euro, thanks to you i realized that it is better to increase it and i got to about 400 with factory zf

although i am a bit afraid of the low reliability of the vr3135

these you propose me though are almost at 500 euros!!!

you are right though

- I'm not looking for a perfect replica, I'll settle for a good replica

- I am a little afraid of vr3135, years ago it was unreliable...today?

The answer is no. Also a swiss ETA is pointless. Just get ZF and if movement dies, buy a new VR3135

so...I thought eta swiss (not asian, swiss gen) was a very good movement

A genuine ETA is a good movement, if you can get one with all gen parts. Most will be rebuilt using secondhand parts nowadays. The Sellita movement is today's version of the ETA, which is just as good, based on what I've heard and read.

ETA being pointless is mostly true if you want to franken your watch down the track with gen Rolex or VR/VS movements and some parts.

Noob parts inventory are scattered after they got raided and closed permanently.

The reason I don’t like Noobs is because of the double line rehauts, the letters are not engraved so as to look like there is a ‘fill’. They look like outlines.

I would say the VR3135s are more reliable than the chinese ETAs particularly with the keyless works where the hack or the sliding pinion doesn’t jump out of the . They have tighter tolerances than Dandong made VS3135 although the platinum plating is not as uniform, hence they feel a bit rough.

I used a VR3135 main plate and transferred everything from my VS3135 with a few gen bridges for my ZF Hulk and its been ticking +1 sec per day for 2 years now

Double line rehaut was standard for early sub c. I personally prefer this style, mostly because it was better repped than the actual « filled » style. But this would be the only advantage for choosing a noob now.

From my experience the VS have a tighter tolerance than VR. I had trouble with gen auto wind assembly on a vr for example. Plus date setting/hour setting/hand wind is nearly as fluid and precise as gen
