Chinese customs seizing reps?

Hello!

I found a strange thread in another forum: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/163501-help-needed-with-tracking/

The boys there are discussing a tracking and assume the chinese customs is seizing the watches at the moment!!!

You can see my actual tracking at the end of this posting and it is also a bit strange: first released from customs and after that handed over to customs. And no tracking update after the last Despatched. In my experience the shipping will arrive in 24-48h in UK after leaving despatch Guangzhou.

Does anyone know more about this?

Remember the holidays, but I have had about 10% of my shipments seized in the UK this year.

Really? All the tracking infos I saw have handed over to customs first and after that released from customs. Anyway: it does not make any sense in the other way...

I had similar tracking pattern on my last purchase (1 week ago). It got to me shortly after. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Often times I receive packages before the tracking info is even updated.....

Lol chinese custom seizing reps? may as well, go to wholesale ctr and seize makes more sense isn't it? and if your watches were seized why the dispatched? they didn't work blindfolded like the QC dudes did they :rofl:

Don't get alarm with this sort of things please, it's probably some scanning errors that's all.

Yes this makes sense for me. Shure, I cant even imagine the chinese customs is helping the european customs. But I read it in another forum, so sorry this is not my idea! And they reported seizing by the chinese customs. OK, maybe they're wrong or joking.

In germany exporting packets ARE going through customs... AFAIK

A tracking history like this is very common...nothing out of line here except for their usual cryptic way of communication. I'd suggest two things...

a more comprehensive tracking site, 'Universal Tracking'...

There might be many factors for it but I have never heard that an outbound package getting confiscated by local customs.

Sometimes when the tracking status going round and round is because there might too many outgoing package at that time and yours was unable to load up the current one so the tracking info is going back to wait for the next available flight.

Or maybe due to unable to identify delivery address/country and the package is going back to the sender.

Whatever it is, there is nothing to worry about as your dealer know what he is doing to avoid it from confiscated by local customs.

Also keep in mind that lots of things go wrong in translation from chinese to english.
I can imagine that some of the updates you see in tracking are wrong translations.

I gotta say there's a handful of people that I've seen including myself that should have received EMS packages by now and the only thing showing is that same tracking info.

Could be nothing.. Could be something. If nothing changes in the coming week, something is going on.

Mine looks similar and has been alot longer time period I still havent recieved anything or had any entries with the USPS that it has reached the States. This was way before the holidays. Ive gotten over 10 watches from TDs in China and this has never taken this long

very unlikely the chinese custom will detain small packages, almost none. I never heard of cases of detention or seizure out of outgoing packages. Nothing to be sorry, but just chill and please don't be too bothered with the info reflected at the chinese courier webbies, they drive you crazy...

Just make use of the tracking info in your country postal systems to check whether it has been recorded it's arrival and whereabouts..

The extra scan in/out of customs, probably was for "show" , look at the time taken barely over 25 mins....:hehehe:

I thought DHL never sleeps? :gotgoat:

I believe no couriers would stop delivering, irregardless of holiday /anniversary/bad hair day/whatever day. Only shipping agents, postal offices are closed till the 7th. (most shipping agents will start earlier)
