The Chinese government does that every once in a while just to "show" they're not very fond of counterfeiting activities happening there and to shut the mouths of people like those in the gen forums. I bet all of those arrested people didn't even make it to the police station. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about

this is proabley not related but i have purchased in the past a couple of watches from www.tswisswatch.com. i know they are not on the trusted dealers list on here but it looks like chanel have opened a law suit against them when u try and log onto there sight you get all the details, i have never seen any thing like this before but maybe you have but it does not look good

Chanel can file anything they want in the US, if they are not here, there's nothing they can do. When there is a demand for a product, someone will find a way to get it to you. It just will be more expensive.
As far as the raids, I wouldn't be too concerned. China has bigger things to worry about. Watches aren't the only thing being counterfeit. There are thousands of products. Some are actually real , and smuggled out of factories producing them and sold on the black market.

Can anyone confirm that our Hublot factories, Noob factories and Milgauss factories are alright? I still have plenty of watches that I have not ordered....

Currently the government passed a bill that created and agency that can shut down any sites without a warrant. Many torrent sites were blocked soon after. I can imagine they are able to do this with rep sites too.
Manufacturing and distributing a fake watch is one thing. Fake medicine is another.

Its not just the watch industry that companies crack down on. Noted BMW tuner AC Schnitzer mounted an extensive campaign against reps of their products, especially rep wheels (that failed under load and caused quite a few accidents). They hunted them down by the container and crushed them all:
I was doing a google image search for some reps yesterday and hit several websites with the Chanel lawsuit info posted.
I think China eventually has to go the route of stopping the counterfeiting so they can join the modern world. I give them 10 more years to do it. They will want to move from a factory reproduction economy to an intellectual property development economy and unless their legal system protects intellectual property they won't have much of it because people don't produce what will be stolen from them so quickly they can never recover their development costs. Innovation will occur in countries with a legal system that protects your right to the intellectual property you create.
Remember the Eisenmann fake exhuast systems ? There was a group buy that I almost got in on, for full catbacks for the E92's. Over $2500 bucks a pop. Turns out, everyone was sold a fake. Even the seller had no clue he was buying fakes. Ended up being a huge deal because many retailers ended up with loads of fake stock. That's why you never buy an Eisnemann exhuast component on Ebay.

That disclaimer is as old as the hills and useless. The internet privacy act (naturally) does not cover you in the case of committing a criminal act and it says so in the act.
