If you're gonna scam, at least change the POS rep strap to something nicer!!

He's probably got some Vegas heavies breathing down his neck for gambling debts - needs some quick cash

I'm thinking of calling Huntington Jewelers in Vegas and letting them know they appraised a replica for 4K.....Just for shits and giggles  :D

Either the appraisal is a forgery
The appraiser is an idiot
The appraiser is in on the scam

So I kinda did this too....but backed out.

So I put my white chanel j12 w/ diamonds (gen is like 12-14,000) on ebay to see what it would go for. I figured why not, I only paid like 150 for it, and had the box and papers. So I put in on, and NO WHERE on the listing did it say it was "authentic". Well, when the bidding got up to $3,000 and still had 4 days left, I had to end it. I chickened out, there was no way I could do that to someone. I prob could have sold it for like 500 or 600, but not what it would have gone for.........

The appraiser is not in on it, anyone with the smallest amount of phtoshop skills could forge that.

How do the apraisers validate a watch anyway?
Do they contact Panerai?
There is just no way an appraiser could be expected to know every thing about every watch come on.

E-buyer beware

I used to make a couple of bucks now and again buying watches on e-bay from guys who didn't know how to list them well and then re-listing them a couple of months later. (I had to wait 3 months for the sale to disappear from my feedback so people couldn't see how much I had paid.) However, this is exactly the sort of thing that has made me bring that sort of activity to a screeching halt. I traded mostly Oris and Wittnauer and could spot the fakes; which is to say, as far as I know, there aren't many good reps of those brands. Each time I thought of venturing into Omega or Rolex on E-bay, I'd see something like this and run screaming. Of note, this guy has 99.7% positive feedback but doesn't usually sell watches. The tip-off, though is the appraisal. That's a sure sign it's a fake, as is the line, "it was given to me as a gift." With all that said, I'm totally getting that model rep... or maybe I should get the 111H. Decisions, decisions.

I mean...

get the FUCK outta here...

I mean...

really...

if one doesn't know to f'n smell some bullshit like that, one shouldn't be buying Pannies period; then again, ignorance (denoting uninformed) doesn't constitute a crime, but selling that fucker for over $350 IS!

tsk, tsk, tsk...
