Cheap Rep from HK :)

Not sure what rep this is but I bought it from HK a year ago for HKD 600 from Ladies market... Yeah I know it is probably quite a bad rep and I got ripped off... But I didn't know you can get different grades of rep! Anyway, I think it might be quite incorrect rep wise as I have never seen this particular model for sale...

I think it might be a cheap 21J movement. I will be using this as my guinee pig as the chrono hands isn't working quite right. The chrono doesn't work btw. And when I push the chrono button, the chrono on the 3 and 9 o'clock moves to the next number and so on. The second hand moves normally and i'm guessing that should be the chono hand... Also, the B on that same hand looks very 'blurry' whereas the gen looks very sharp. I have never seen a breitling rep where the B on the second hand is accurately reproduced though! Anyway, tell me what you guys think

Your right, very cheap, very badly done. 21j movement. Be glad you found this place

How can I know if it is badly done? Is it just that the 'B' should be sharper ? Do all 21J offer a NON working chono ?

Go have a look at some pictures of the genuine watches for a comparison. It's a cheap rep mate, you didn't pay too much for it though, which is good. And yes, 21j will never offer chrono function. The subdials on yours function as day/date/month indicators.

Well, I just quickly browsed thru it but the date font is incorrect, the numbers aren't centered, the caseback is wrong etc.

lol... I have it in front of me but as I am not a big fan of brietling, I don't know what is what... I have a Tag Carrera 36 rep i got off Tony from Asian 7750 and it is so nice... Just the hands are not in the right place so need to get that fixed... But it looks pretty damn nice even after I had it for 1 month... Just such an eye candy

Your "Breitling" rep is a very bad and cheap rep. from the Street market. You cannot have paid much money for it. So you have what you have paid.

The chrono function needs a much more expensive movement (for this rep called 7750) and the 21j, that have your rep, doesn't have at all the chrono functions (only day date indications).

You can see some pics of Breitlings gen or rep and you will see a lot of differences besides the logo (awful)

You are now in the right place to start reading and learning about reps.

Enjoy your rep if you like it, but forget it concerning good rep hobby.

apart from all the enthusiastic feedback, as far as 50th Anniv reps go, your one is actually closer than the a7750/lemania versions!

I used to have gen silver (& also black) 50th Anniv., and yours has the key features which were missing on the other reps.

Quality is still piss poor though :lol:
