LED flashlights do a pretty good job. Or "natural" white florescent light bulb.

Never thought of that actually, but I think simply the flourescent lights in our surrounding should do just the job.

I DIY my watch display cabinet adding the UV fluorescent light those that can be used to check counterfeit money just like the one from any AD... That could charge my lume at the same time a decoration in my room :)

Guys, you're not the only ones. My watches might no keep good time, but they must have a good lume.

Sometimes I wake in the middle of the night just to stare at the lume. I think I might need to be medicated :)

Ahh, just be aware that continued exposure to a high dose of UV may fade bezels or dials mate.

I use a money checker light too but only for 30sec or so.

I always wear a watch to bed and charge the lume by placing the watch on an LED flashlight for about 30 seconds. Superlume holds that charge all night. Average rep lume only holds that charge for about 5 hours. Since I have very poor vision without my contact lens, lume is a practical feature for me and I am not "nutty" using it every night to know the time when I wake up during the night. The most important time to know is about 3 am. Unusual noises in the house at that hour are taken far more seriously than unusual noises at 6 am since I know 3 am is "prime time" for professional criminal activity since the odds are good people are asleep at that time. So it goes like this for me: unusual noise wakes me up, I check the time and if it is 2 to 4 am I wake up my brain ,listen closely for a while and get ready to grab my 1911 handgun.

I seem to get mixed results from different sources. Regular incandescent lights charge it ok, but it doesn't last long. The HID headlights on my car charge it super duper duper fast, but it fades just as quickly. My LED flashlight works really well on some pieces but not on others, and it seems to last the longest.

The lume on my recent timesho p rolex doesn't hold a lume for long. Either I'm doing something wrong or it just plain sucks.

The lume on my Noobfactory sub isn't great either...pretty pitiful, actually, so you're not doing it wrong.

Well 10-30 sec is to short time.
I charge under a lightbulb 2 min the the lume holds about 5-6 hours.
