Bezel lip and cherry red color makes all the difference in the world on a BLRO GMT.
The only people upset about the critiques were the people who purchased that blundered Clean Pepsi rep before we chimed in. They took the critiques personally instead of understanding the flaws we pointed out were on the watch, not on them

Honestly I'm surprised the lip took the spotlight over the red insert that looks like it fell into a clogged toilet.

Maybe the cherry red is not supposed to be on purpose since we don't have the documentation on it and certain runs of the GMT are black and blue?

To be honest, I'm surprised anyone gives a shit about the lip to be perfectly frank. Nobody noticed it, not until Street fighter pointed out. That doesn't remove the flaw, but what it does tell you is that nobody noticed it. Even with SUPER critical eyes... and they were many critiques thrown at the watch. The point is, it only took hyper critical user + some very dramatic individuals to turn the LIP into a massive issue.

Reality being that, the flaw is so small, so minute, that even under the scrutiny of the 99% they didn't detect it, yourself and myself included. Thus, we can conclude from this that the flaw really isn't a big deal at all. As you say, colours perhaps are a bigger issue.

To be fair he found it early on, it's not like this happened yesterday. But it is a big deal once you notice it IMO. The lip gives the Pepsi a lot of character. It really does change the aesthetics of the watch. But I can also see why people wouldn't care about it.

If you guys all owned a gen example you would all have noticed it too, 100%.

Fact is, majority of you don't know what a genuine one is meant to look like (or looked like) until you read this thread. That's not an insult, how could you know, these are unicorns in the wild you just don't see them.

To be fair, we also noticed the first R was misaligned on the VSF Submariner rehaut and the exaggerated space between the 25 on the VSF DateJust 41 dials, both of which were later corrected. Those flaws were also minuscule, but important to point out. Another example of minuscule and practically unnoticeable flaws are incorrect hand stacks, but once you know about them, they become very obvious deal breaker for most. And that's why we're all here. To help educate each other on the details to look for.

The BLRO GMT from Clean is very flawed when you know what to look for.
So far VRF Pepsi Max is the best option. Eventually there'll be an even better Pepsi rep. Possibly from Clean.

Beautiful watch. Some flaws, but none too extreme. I‘d bet my ass that a gen owner would never recognize this as a rep, when he‘s not wearing his gen the same time. Don‘t post it on the Gram and you‘re good to go. Definitly change the cyclops tho.

What matters to you doesn't matter to the next man. To many of us, the unique bezel is a fundamental part of the BLRO. To not have it gives the watch away as fake right away. And yes, it is noticeable on the wrist. Maybe not if you can't see.

When an expert DOES notice it you get upset and state that no one else noticed. Wtf? Most people here never handled the gen or studied it like this actual gen owner did to point it out.

The answer is very very simple. Nobody here looking in over 60 pages 'knew' the Pepsi had a different bezel apart from me and I know because I have one.

For the record, the different bezel was discussed in the VRF Pepsi Max thread before this thread was even conceived so this is not news.

i do, thank you, even i do not wear watches i cannot have any rings, watches, bracelets etc...... on me, I cannot tolerate any jewellery on me. my box winder is the one who wears them and my wife ( for the wife depends on the model and must be only genuine) the most enjoyment for me is to go thru different models and hold them in my hands it gives me big satisfaction.
