Red looks off to me, but a decent attempt I guess. With VSF out of the game, CF will sell lots of these.

Will order one and compare with my gen.

Yeah, the red still looks nasty, and like the Noob, it has that pale area on the inner radius - looking at how thin the insert is, this may be light diffusion where it's reflected from the sapphire.

This is completely stupid. Hope it was just a mistake from pre production with a wrongly installed balance (although this seems quite unlikely). But it would be absolutely stupid to hide these screws…

I much prefer the colors of the VRF, but quality wise this is way better. I think throwing a VRF insert on a CF is probably my go to for this.

No it's not a mistake. These are the "new and improved" VR3186 movements. They will slowly phase out the current ones.

I'm having difficulty securing stocks of the old versions so they will run out sooner or later.

Is it still the 3185 based or they have changed it completely to the 3186 spec like the ARF SH3186?

Funny how ppl started saying that insert color looks off and brownish without knowing it's a picture of gen LOL

BLRO insert plays many different shades of color under the given lighting setting.

You can't really judge CF bezel yet until you see them in person IMO.

I'm sure VR would not switch to the much weaker 3186 GMT parts. The had a great thing going with the VR3185, they had to know it.

This new VR3186 should only be different in that it is based on the updated VR3135, which unfortunately has the fake free sprung balance decoration that puts the regulator and beat corrector arms in an inconvenient location.

BTW all of these but the 116710 BLNR should have been engraved 3285 and are undoubtedly going to set time and hour jump backwards from the gen 3285s. Oh well. I'm surprised they didn't just make the Barman oyster a 126710.

I don't think anyone in this topic accidentally called the gen brownish. They were towards the rep which clearly has the wrong color red.
