Guys maybe dumb question, but has anyone tried painting or coloring the blue part of the CLEAN insert?

Ceramic bezels are not painted, they are dyed and the process is quite complicated (a lot more than usual DIY stuff)

In fact I think there is a good idea around page 155 of the thread, to color the inside of the CLEAN insert, since the gen insert is all red with the blue part added, in my humble opinion the CLEAN insert doesn't have enough red in both colors (since blue with red makes purple), so coloring the entire inside of the CLEAN insert in red might be the way to go.

When even the colors are consistent and premium on the CF insert, in my humble opinion the blue is damn close to the GEN MK1 anyway on the CF insert.

The inserts are not (transparent) plastic , paint on backside won't change the colors on the front I think. This trick do work for modding 6542 plastic bezels for example but not here I'm afraid

A lot of Noob ceramic Pepsi inserts and some early batches of CF ones have a lighter inner perimeter on the red side. It looks slightly translucent, like a halo ring. Painting the underside of the red half does make this effect less noticeable, though it's possibly due to dampening light reflection through the crystal.
there are some comparison photos of between GMF v5 and CF, but it’s not clear whether the CF is v3 or not. when exactly did CF come out with v3? maybe that might help in identifying.

from what i’ve read, v3 appears to be a late 2022 update that got rid of the milky gasket. unclear if that also improved the bezel action.
