I wonder why they don't make the bezel colors right
They have the colors and the ability to make it right pretty fast and it wouldn't cost them more.

CF knows the insert the biggest visual flaw on the watch. Why they simply didn't fix it a few weeks after the release a year ago is the million dollar question indeed.

Tbh Rolex took a long long long long time to make the Ceramic Pepsi... and from what you hear it wasn't for lack of trying. It's actually really hard to make a one piece multicolour ceramic bezel. It's why the rep factories ones are in two parts. Whereas the Rolex is one part.

I don't think it's lack of trying on the Rep companies either... its just expensive/hard/impossible to perfect. The only reason Rolex "perfected" it is because they decided that colour was acceptable, doesn't mean its the best they could do and quite evidently not as we currently are aware about 3 different variations in gen colour...

I don't think its that easy + rep companies don't want to spend money when their models are selling!

I think it'll be a while till we get a nice cherry red complexion in our ceramics if ever... and even then it's unlikely to be like gen as the colours are awkward and hard to replicate/reproduce.

.

^ this + factories probably don't examine their isnerts' colours under many types of light including natural light, so it just looks good enough from their perspective

Agreed....I think doing a one piece insert would be technically very difficult for the factories to pull off (it took Rolex 8 years to figure it out). However, it seems to me a two piece insert would be easier to match the colors correctly b/c there's no color play between the top color and a base color. And if I remember correctly, the ROF pepsi insert got the blue pretty close to MK3 and the red pretty close to MK1. We just need a factory to get both colors correct on the same insert!

exactly my point. Not saying it's easy to make a two colors insert including the nicely done transition but once that is done I dont think the final color adjustment would be that hard.

No, if you have red thro the details of the Pepsi, it is very very hard.
I very much doubted the Chinese factories can ever come up with the Pepsi insert with the correct tone close enough to the gen. If you will recall how long did it take Clean to come up with the green ceramic that is close to the gen enough, and this is just a mono colour.
Pepsi is far fat more complicated

Dark colours are easier tbh... and one is black, the other Blue... it's not too hard.

Pepsi is a large contrast... even Rolex haven't got it 100% perfect... it's why it appears a pinky / cherry... but the point is what ever Rolex make is "perfect" as that's the gen :p

Bro, how do you know thats not exactly the color Rolex wanted? Don't say it's because the Pepsi bottle logo have a different red or I might never drink that soda again :) :) :)

Their red is a bit pinky and their blue is a bit purple. Maybe thats how they wanted it to match.

They don't have it perfect because they keep changing it... they're clearly experimenting to find a perfect hue. There are at least 3 gen variants thus far... likely to be more as they refine the technology/make slight adjustments to mould/colourings. It's only perfect because it's gen, but Rolex are always improving, and this is an item I think they want to improve.

Ill ad that the color you see in pictures is gonna be way different than in person. I have 2019 GMF? Pepsi and the colors are horrible. I need to get a better bezel insert. The watch is ok but a bad bezel will throw off the entire watch.

It comes to a point that if anyone on the average streets will ever be able to tell the colour of the rep Pepsi insert is incorrect. The chance of seeing a gen Pepsi on the roads is almost nil, at least I haven't seen one so far. Yet for the Batman I have seen a few though

I've never seen a Pepsi in the wild. I only ever see them at the gray market shops or at my AD. If I'm lucky enough to get a call from my AD for a Pepsi, it's going straight to the safety deposit box at the bank...which I suspect is what most buyers do these days given they trade at $25-30K.

I haven't visited this thread in a while, does the CF BLRO still have the brown insert and lipless bezel? Are there any new contenders like there is the BTF for the Daytona?

You've done enough trolling on Reddit to know this answer, or you're simply here to cause more arguments. Are you not happy with your junk Pagani Design pepsi purchase?
