Hello Guy's i have a quick question, i just got a CF Pepsi, but it looks like the Insert is not well alligned ...
For me it is not the one i was shown on the QC Pics, but whatever, it is not the subject.

I tried to find a local watchmaker to ask if he could align it, he told me that this will be very hard as he says the insert should glued to the bezel, and that he do not know if he will break the Insert. As he never touched a rep.

Could you guy's maybe tell me what i could tell him, or explain how he could solve the problem ? Maybe also with some pictures ?

Thank you so much.

Silly question but What’s not aligned? Are you just talking about the triangle at 12? Can you not just rotate the bezel by half a turn? Usually there is a bit of play in these GMTs.

I’ve replaced ceramic bezels before. I just googled RWI and then ceramic bezel swap or something like that. There’s no glue usually. Watchmaker just needs to lift the bezel off and he’ll know what to do

You can easily tell if this is the one you GL by comparing your QC pictures with this one, more notably the serial number.

Every CF straight from the TD I’ve seen has the same problem as yours but I don’t know if it’s an issue with the bezel click spring (part 316-116750-2-C5) or the bezel insert itself being misaligned.

Did not got serial number pics.
The part number you just wrote, is that the original one ? I mean from an original gmt ?

For me i think it's the bezel insert itself which is misaligned , as the bezel clicks very good, and that wihout a problem, only the triangle is not aligned with the 12

Correct that’s the gen part.

And if you got a straight on shot of the watch during QC you should be able to make out the serial number easy enough.

I tried to identify, but could not see it at all, actualy it is trange because it came from a TD from the Forum, which has a lot great reviews even myself i bought already a couple of watches from him and was always super happy.

I have uploaded a video so you could see what i mean with the missalignment. Also it clicks well, only the triangle is missaligned.

Yes exactly! The triangle is misaligned with the 12.
The TD just gave me the possibility to send the watch one of his shops, so this will be fixed by him.

Are you sure you want to send back your watch to China ?

The insert should be pressure fitted in a genuine Rolex but these CF Pepsi the insert has double sided tape sticking it on I believe. Also, I believe if you or your watchmaker take the bezel assembly off, it may not go back on again and work the same as it does now.

If I were you and I couldn't live with the flaw, thi8s is an easy fix. Taking what we know about this watch, all you need is some solvent. Try a aerosol can of brake cleaner, spray the bezel, it'll melt the adhesive instantly and the insert should fall out. Apply new adhesive and place it back where you want it.
If you don't have brake cleaner you can buy some for about £3 a can from you local motor factor.
