CF 3135 movement issue?

Hey Guys

My 126622 stopped running today so i went and opened it up.
This piece + screw was floating around..

Seems to be working again, is this purely decorative or does it gave an actual function?

Please help me out

surely a problem in the manufacture on an entire batch I cannot tell you more but I have seen posts with similar problems several times

Im glad the watch wasnt damaged and i found the screw.
Just left this part out.
