Are these recent pics?I've been studying a lot of QC images lately because I would like to get one, but I had never noticed this problem. Analyzing in detail, practically everyone has it, even if in this case it almost seems like a trick of the lights.

That's a good point on QF. Was just checking the pics on Trusty and it doesn't look bad at all, though the movement is an SH4130, not sure how it compares to the DD4130.

I saw BTF 116520. Theyre all precious metal base caze. Disgusting...This is my CF 520 sourced in January 2025. The 6 o'clock side exhibits a bit of the polishing error, but not as prominent as previous batches.
12 o'clock side looks fine.
Sucks to play the QC lottery but perhaps this provides a bit of hope!
On a related note, I also came across QC photos for a 116520 with BTF stickers. Don't get your hopes up @Reaps , it's quite bad.
VS is a solid choice, especially if one were to swap the dial with Gen. I think CF is still worth a roll of the dice.
