Okay guys. I have a 21j Rolex 11610 LV Rolex Rep that I want to change the bezel on. I have two questions
1) where is the best place to purchase a ceramic bezel to replace the crappy one
2) How do you do it? Any help or links to threads would be fantastic!

Thanks!

You have your numbering wrong, and I think it's confusing peterpotamus. ;)

Are you talking about a non-ceramic 16610LV that you want to put a ceramic insert into? Or are you talking about a ceramic 116610LV that you want to do a direct swap for?

Well excuse me for asking. What kind of response is that? I'm just trying to fix it. Not everyone is an expert!

I thought this community was people helping people and making new friends. Sharing a hobby that is fun. My philosophy is if you have nothing kind to say, then say nothing at all.

Hey wait a min....you didn't ask that! You suggested that it was your desire to put a ceramic bezel insert in a 16610LV.....

#1 there are no good rep ceramic inserts
#2 ceramic gen inserts start at $1000 dollars
#3 the 16610LV wasn't made for a ceramic insert therefore it may (most likely) not fit...

That it's why I asked why anyone would want to make that change.... if you would have said I need some advise then asked how to fix your watch, you'd have gotten a far different response.... :goat:

I don't know about the ceramic insert outer/inner diameter, but the ceramic 116610 insert is definitely much thicker than the 16610. It will very likely sit much too high on your watch, if it even fits in there.

As for how to take the insert out of your watch, you can either:

1. Disassemble your watch, pop out the crystal, and pry off the existing metal insert from the inside circumference
2. Pop out the pearl and stick a small screwdriver in the hole and pop out the insert. You can glue the pearl back in afterwards.
3. Try to pry out the insert from the outside circumference, but you will likely permanently damage it this way, and maybe damage the bezel.

Don't follow any instructions for genuine rolex insert replacement unless you have a high end replica with genuine bezel construction. Those tutorials involve prying off the entire bezel assembly, but that won't work on most reps under $400.

Can you show me what kind of insert you have and considering I have about a hundred of them I can probably give you a replacement.

Just buy a standard 16610LV insert. There are many different types of 3rd party ones. The best value/quality option would be a WholeSaleOutlet (WSO) brand insert and then buy a WatchMaterial pearl.

WSO insert can be bought on eBay from Wholesaleoutlet990 or Amazon from ewatchparts.
WM Pearl can be bought from watchmaterial.com

There are other options as well. Read up on inserts in the Rolex section.
