Posted on reddit and some chinese dealers, daytonas might be good for a project base. Share your thoughts! Google translated text:
"CBD 'The heaviest in the industry!' Ergonomically designed weights! Made of Oyster alloy, it not only adds weight to the "bottom cover", "case", "movable end of the strap", etc., but also balances the weights to fit the wrist, reaching the peak of comfort without peeling! No fading! Perfectly avoid all the shortcomings of Wu copper materials, tungsten steel materials, and Wu nickel alloy materials on the market! The material does not oxidize and can be electroplated twice! Multiple gold-plated treatments! Equipped with a matching integrated movement (72-hour power reserve 3255 movement and dandong 4130 movement, c/clean factory homologous 4131 movement), detail processing from the inside out to ensure foolproof quality!"

Daytona:

Daydate 40mm:
Original: 25 straps, the whole watch weighs 207g
CBD: The strap has 25 sections and the whole watch weighs 207g!
Others: The strap has 28 or 29 sections, and the weight of the whole watch is ≤200 grams!

Isn't this the factory that made the links super thick to make it heavier? Those Daytona links look CHUNKY

No idea about that but its one way to explain how they can be so heavy with less links than others. If its a 0.1mm difference per link i might be able to live with it tbf.
Edit: After using the search function it seems that ARF is the one with larger links but this one might be similar too, no idea.

The daydate links are very big on the CBD, to the point where it looks like a different watch.
Arf is slightly larger than gmf/qf

CBD only met the weight standard, but gave up the appearance of the watch

Found more pics for the daydate. But first, a side shot vs a gmf, to compare the link size:

So deceptive. Their advertising shows correct case shape, but in hand CBD DD suffers the same flaw with thin lugs and incorrect case shape.

THB also doing the same thing with the 205-210g
Seems like they’re all getting the larger bracelet from the same manufacturer.

It’s not just the length of the link but the thickness which is larger.

I wonder if they made it larger to put tungsten into the side links because currently it has been only tungsten in the mid links for almost every factories bracelet.

AFAIK, the MOP dial shouldn't have the minute indicator wheel around the hour markers.
