Wow , initially i just thought the name Casio Royale was just a play on words, i had no idea the had a Bond type background.
For those not in the know this watch bears striking resembalance to to the Seiko G757
Bond wore in Ocotopussy.
OK you digital dudes... I thought you might enjoy seeing these shots of a beast from the way-back machine that spawned some of the technology now on your Royale wrists...
This is the first ever digital watch model w/ a chrono function, the Seiko 0634-5009, circa 1975. Although this one has some LCD leakage and related screen drops, amazingly it still functions (but I guess after 40+ years, it's allowed to leak a little, eh?)... Enjoy!
Edit: And for a fun bit of perspective, the retail price on this one when it launched in 1975 was about $300. At that same time, a new SS Submariner listed around $350...
