What's everyone's feelings about not having a caseback lining up through the 12 and 6 positions? It's irksome. Do many of you have reps where they get this right? Can you get it re-aligned or is that a massive job with the threads?
Fortunately I don’t have that issue on my Offshores 😎, although now you have got me looking at the AP logo upside down when the crown is screwed in😱. I think I need to start the thread “Crown logo alignment issues”

You’re likely to neck yourself over that one.
I am literally hiding ALL sharp objects as soon as I type this

Seriously this has NEVER been on my radar, never ever.

But on looking at my watches, only the sterile casebacks line up? AAARRRGGHHHHH. I am fucking doomed!!!

It not laziness or an oversight. It’s engineering integrity v aesthetics. All case backs are machined and engraved separately and installed separately hence you get the variations. You can manually try and adjust it so that it looks balanced but you run the risk of over tightening and damaging the gasket or the threads or having a caseback that is too loose allowing for moisture ingress. Only manufacturers with snap in backs or case aka secured by screws will have engraved alignments. Screw in case backs will never have a perfect alignment.
I would suggest you re set your expectations as they are unrealistic.

If this guy below can’t get it spot then no one can.

Here we go, the perfect reply to my thread. Every day is a learning day 😍🍀🇮🇪

I don't wear my watches backwards so I've never noticed.
But with yours it's useful to wear it backwards to work out how much flour you need to add to the buttermilk pancake mix when using an American recipe in the UK

By the way, if this thread isn't sarcasm or a parody or something like that, but actually meant to be serious, taking a computer-generated marketing photo off the Panerai web site to prove "how it's supposed to look like" is slightly delusional. 😂

This is how the case backs actually in real life look like:

The rare occasion when a member being “flamed/schooled” responds like this is so refreshing and says a lot about someone’s character, congratulations you have advanced to the next level of awesomeness…..

Right, it's THE day! You'll be required to post a wristshot with a leprechaun today.

Believe it or not Dublin has an actual Leprechaun museum & although I have never been, it's on the to do list as a work social 🤷‍♂️

As an aside, I can't believe I left my different green watches in work, brain fart moment, now that is blasphemous

Embarrassed Shame GIF

You can do that but depends on crown position when fully screwed down. I know some of my watches would need almost a full turn back out to get the logo sitting top side up. In that case the crown sits too far out and looks unscrewed.
Oh, come on. Don't be such a wimp. 😆😉Walking around like a dorky dork with the crown unscrewed is secondary to aligning the logo. 🥸🥴 Symmetry is more important than water resistance or a sensible look. 🤪😁🤭
