Cartier Crash, interest check and discussion

Hi all,

I've done done some interest checks for a Cartier Crash replica before on r/reptime. There was huge interest actually but it never progressed with any factory or trusted dealer willing to take the challenge.

Now the Cartier Crash actually has been replicated before. See source from dealer Wasay s https://www.reddit.com/r/RepTime/s/ro8JeKApAY who sold some pieces of the Crash years ago.

This means it is replicated, does someone know the manufacturer of the crash and if there is any chance of it being produced again? Would be lovely to own a replica of the Crash and change the strap.

I understand that manufacturers stay away from watches that are so incredibly rare and so silly expensive that only a handful of them exist in the world. Wearing a Crash immediately outs the wearer as a poser, so few people would order one, and thus there's no return on investment for the manufacturer.

That's true but there are numerous high value replica brand like Patek Philippe and Richard Mille.

And the Crash is already replicated before so whats stopping them

I actually made a crash thread a while back. One guy is making a prototype case in gold with plans to make a steel case and use cartier movements accurate to the 91 crash. We were suppose to get updates on the case but thus far nothing.

only difference would be the unbranded movement, because the original movement alone is 170-200 euros

Never been a project mate, just did multiple interest checks on different forums and send it to all TD's.

Including all information about previous manufactured model because that states it is possible.

The ones that did react all couldn't do anything and stated they are only middleman.

I think of these were still produced it would be an easy fix to remove the steel bracelet and replace it with a custom leather strap with sourced Cartier clasp correct tot the Crash.

cartier font on dial is also wrong

this is a poor attempt but at least we know it's doable.

AF k11F can manufacture that easily. Maybe 200 interested blokes will do it. then probably price it at 300.

Yes exactly, case would need some cutting and reshaping at the bracelet point. That's not a problem with the proper tools.

Indeed if they would only produce this. Made an interest poll on Reddit and it had several thousands of upvotes and comments. Never happened tho.

Since it has been replicated before the case shape would be easily manufactured and then with the leather bracelet it would be perfect.
