Thanks for the info. How does the crystal compare...noticed the 43mm is meant to have AR but no AR mentioned on 41mm ad?
Thanks

As far as I remember, the 41mm one does not have AR on the GEN. Correct me if it is not the case!

Like Ucallpf said, buy them both. You know you will eventually. :)

Hmmm...got the Carrera Racing. Love it. Saw the Carrera 41mm chrono I put in the OP in a jewellers the other day....yeah....think I'll end up with that one too :)

Both are good watches, it is going to come down to personal preference. I like my 43mm, it's more stout and has more presence to it. It is more interesting than the 41mm. The 41mm is smaller and cleaner, which puts it in a catagory with very heavy competition, ie speedmaster moonwatch, daytona, etc. The 43mm Day/Date is unique. It is also very fetching in person. I held one at the AD and scrambled home to order the rep.

Here's mine-

I love the 43mm Day/Date, but I cannot find one that has the accurate arrow on the G in the Tag Badge. Does anyone know a trusted dealer that carries one?

This is also a question that I'd like to know the answer to aswell. It seems that most of our trusted dealers carry the one with the inaccuracies on the Tag logo, albeit a rather small problem but it would be nice to have one with the correct arrow.

I'm not sure how these compare in terms of size to the gen, but would it be possible to chuck in a gen dial on one of these?

Go and compare the gens in-store, that is how I decided and I ended up with the day/date. Nothing is better in helping me decide than seeing both physically. I couldn't be happier with my decision, it has been an excellent watch all around

Hey, does yours have screw down crown? I just got one from replicamake and mine isn't screw down even though his description stated it was. Gen also is screw down.

My days are quite crooked tues-thurs also. Bummed out.

I dont believe the Gen has a screw down, last time I held one I dont believe it did. Can anyone verify 100%?

Has anyone come across one with the ARROW on the G?

Or is there a dealer who could replace the logo?

This is my only deciding factor against the 43mm.

I noticed the F1 in this thread has the arrow, but on the web site it has the blunted G :(

Looks like it's going to be the 41mm otherwise......

Can someone clear something up for me please, I have been looking at the TAG 43mm Day date as per P4GTR's pics:

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y227/Blueboost/Watches/IMG_3872XX.jpg

See his image & then the image on Slix website the TAG logo is different:

http://www.silix-prime.com/tags041-p-3602.html

Which one is correct?

The one on the silix site is a little off, the rotor is incorrect(should be cutout) and the tag logo should be black and silver not all silver, but you can mention this to silix and they will source you the correct one.

Any dealer who can put or have a swiss movement on the carrera?

Probably not. You'll have to buy the watch, then source and buy the Swiss 7750 movement @ $300-350), then pay a watch smith to make the swap.
