My favorite GMT's are the 29, 63 and the 89...Favorite chrono has to be the 196.

All of these reps are badass and with some work can end up being some fantastic looking watches.

Hmmm... I am not so sure about the misspelling (I thought it's correctly spelled tachymetre).

The one suffers from this flaw is Chopard MM GMT Chrono rep. It's tachometer instead of tachymeter.

Sorry, I disagree on both counts:

I believe the UK spelling is definitely not correct. Should be tachymeter (US spelling). Does anyone have a gen to check?

The Chopard MM GMT Chrono is actually correct with "Tachometer" - that's how it should be. Chopard did use "Tachymeter" in the past too, but it reverted to tachometer allegedly because that was the only version of the word that they could find in a dictionary.

Looks spot on mag, date, hand.. Only the E on the bezel looks rounded on top instead of flat like the N S W. Could be the lighting.. Other than that, just get him to post a direct front view to check the date fonts. Should be good..

Is the 212 available with a sapphire crystal?... been a while since I last looked and it was only around with a mineral crystal last I looked... right out in my book.... but, damn I love the way the 212 looks.

I don't want to offend a dealer in here, and IIRC it is in his sales section.
Just look for the crown guard that appears too short, like the ends are ground off and return to the case abruptly; the pushers stick out too far from the case, and are noticeably thinner than those of the gen.
Side-by-side rep and gen pics on your screen; you'll see it in no time flat.

I'd wear and buy a debadged PAM, but not any other brand.

River had the Ti PAM089 with anthracite dial a while back, but may still have some.

Cartel folks been advertising this one still but don't know about its availability, worth asking around including Angus as well as the new DLRs around here. Might be surprised by what you find.

The 089 with a modded datewheel gets pretty close to the GEN, IMO. The mag on the 089 rep cyclops is quite adequate, unlike other cyclopes on other PAM + date models.

Have seen some nice 089s... but I don't know about the anthracite dial... I like the blue version better, even though it's a fantasy dial... lol

I find it curious that no one is mentioning the 228. I think that's a very nice rep, and DSN's with the new case back is set to be a stunner. Does anyone agree?
