seeking expert input on tomrep bezel--have done lot of reading/viewing thereabout--one thing that stuck out was complaint that more recent formula results in darker bezel color--is the darker shade of TomRep bezel in these photos taken from M2M franken being sold at RepGeek (didn't want to threadcrap) accurate to gen shade of platinum? Grateful for any input. cheers

I just got my insert done recently (early March). It cameout light, I think Tom has fixed his formula.

BTW - I have a gen bezel, it does go pretty dark in sunlight but not like the pics you attached.

Is the new Tom's mod too much silver compared to bracelet color tone, or it's just an impression due to light?
It seems to me, from these photos, older mod is more like gen. What's in your opinion? Sundek

the difference is minimal
I prefer the latest mod
tom told me that gen is somewhere between the first version and the last one
obviously the light changes the effect however it is a mod to do on this watch

Yeah. TBH, it is a bit on the lighter side. Platinum over time becomes darker with patina, so I prefer a darker shade.

Also, he did the exact same color for another bezel of mine in early April. At that time, he didn’t call it premium and didn’t charge me more. So I am not a big fan of his recent higher price
