AD = Authorised Dealer.

It means he took it to a gen rolex seller.

that reminds me, i took my montblanc time walker to the ad to get it fixed. he told me where is the warranty and i told him that i lost it but he told me that he would fix it and he would charge for it. I told him to go for it and yes he fixed it but told me why the movement is different? i told him that it is an older model. lol he cold not known it was a rep.

You need to read Bk's description on is DSSD. He DOES NOT seal the HEV valve. He DOES press in the crystal more.

I think it looks good, but to be honest, this watch uses a Rolex clone 3135. You might be better off with a ETA. BK is an excellent dealer and watch. But again, the one from Watch Eden looks good.

Whats wrong with the clone 3135? have others got problems with it?

That watch looks very very nice, but dont base your descision on just that pic alone cause remember, you are not going to be getting the watch that the pic was taken of. I placed an order from A TD for a watch that looked absolutely flawless in the picture, but then when he sent me the QC pics of the watch he was going to send me it was a totally different story.

Thank you very much for clarifying you are absolutely correct. The other fact that made me look at this watch was the price. Its $407 and also its his latest. i asked him if there was lume in it and told me it is decent.

I am also in a mood now to get myself a DSSD although it will be a while before I press the button. I think the general consensus on this forum is that BK's DSSD is the best. Since I am no expert on this, I'd leave the opinion to the judges here.

The temptation sometimes is so strong to just get one of those sub $100 DSSD's but I know I shouldn't falter. One small speck of dust inside the crystal makes me unhappy so I know what I'd be in for if I make this mistake. Trying to be patient here.

i will speak to the dealers to get their attention in regards to the dssd on perfecting it to a point that makes us happy.

unfortunately i dont think you will ever find a rep that is 100%, you have to keep in mind that the conditions in the factories where these watches are made arent the ideal places for such types of work to be done. there will always be something wrong or something slightly out of place from any of these pieces. its just part of the game. your best bet is to find a dealer whom you feel comfortable dealing with and who will provide you with as much QC as possible to minimize the ultimate let down, and that would be you buying a watch that you wouldnt feel comfortable wearing..

just my $0.02
