Maybe I'm sensitive because I was on staff and a paid content contributor at Timezone.com for years, but to me, selling the watch repair course that they charge $50 for doesn't seem right.
I know some will say "well you're on a rep collector's site...anything goes." I won't get into the rights and wrongs of reps. I'm all for them. But Timezone is not Richemont or the Swatch Group. They're just a bunch of nice guys like the people here, and in my case, some of the very same guys.
I would actually feel better about it if the lessons were being ripped off and shared for free, like mp3s. Would you download the new U2 album and then try to sell it? No, you'd probably just share it. Why is it any different with these courses? Sure, there are people who copy DVDs/CDs and sell them on the street, but are you friends with any of them? Would you do business with them? Give them your credit card info? Your home address?
Buying a rep watch you could otherwise never afford is one thing...stealing someone's hard work which you could easily afford and selling it for profit, or even "site maintenance costs" is entirely different.
I for one would like to see the Timezone Watch Repair courses removed for sale from this site.
