buying first GEN Pam, can't decide, 111/112/176/177

get 8 day gen....if you want eta, get rep...buy gen when it is challenging to make rep...that simple...if you buy used/2nd hand you will be able to sell at close to your buying price if you are careful. I have mainly done face to face though for purchases on gens

but can't decide on which one to get

anyway i'm deciding between GEN 111/112/176/177
which one is more recommended for my first pam ?
i preffer plain dial
and i want an exhibition case back.

if the prices are about the same between all of them (im buying a pre owned)
which one is more worth it and which one hold more value in long run ?

hi finally, after so many years i bought my first ever Panerai,
i bought the 562.


now i a have few questions about straps as i never bought a strap before.


-can anyone recommend a good matching strap colour for the 562 titanium with brown dial ?
(i was thinking on getting the OEM Carbon fibre or after market carbon fibre but im not sure wheter the brown dial will match with it or not, )


-what size of strap do i get ? i mean i know how to measure the wrist strap, etc, but what i'm confused about is the width
should i go with 24/24 or 24/22 ?


-about the strap lenght, do i want it long so the tail show a little bit even after using both keeper? , or do i want it short so 1 keeper is enough ?


-and do i really need to change my lug screws to those Springbar system ?

nice choice for first gen, try this if you don't like screw system :

the newest pam with 1950 case or 1940 case use new springbar system

both 24/24 and 24/22 works on pam 562

if you want use oem buckle stay 24/22

24/24 if you want more vintage strap or custom buckle

you can check this on strapculture, kainheritage, heroic18, gunny strap, malio strap

for casual i prefer 24/24, combine it with huge buckle, kain heritage and strapculture have a lot killer buckle

i don't think carbon strap look good on brown dial, its taste matter, heheheh

I suggest a chocolate alligator, a chocolate/dark brown vacchetta or a honey vacchetta / french ammo.
Maybe from Simona straps or Orloff or Bakeka.

its aftermarket strap, if you like that, why not go to aftermarket strap?

if you want oem from panerai, asso strap or JV Gator Strap is best choice

I don't personally like any of them and would go with a nice radiomir with wire lugs and pumpkin crown..
...BUT to stick to topic, if I had to pick between those it'd be the 111 or 177.

I like having running seconds.
