Installation Movement - the last step
For the movement I decided to use a newer version of the VR 3130. This is the no-date version of the 3135 movement. The case is designed for a Rolex movement and has the good mounting via the two small screws. The dial had the mounting feet for ETA movements. These had to be removed and new ones glued on. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo.

The VR 3130 makes a good impression. Smooth-running and precise in all positions. I am curious.

The final heritage

I hope I could motivate you to follow my excursion to design and build this watch. Maybe even motivate you to design a heritage yourself.

And now I don't want to keep you in suspense any longer and show you the result with a few pictures. I am very curious about your feedback.

As you can see, I have mounted different straps. Actually, I prefer to wear leather bracelets. But here I find the Rolex bracelet very beautiful. It belongs to the generation of 5-digit bracelets.

And here some wrist shots:

Time to look for a new dial. The currently mounted dial with the misprint is not worthy of the project. If any of you want to sell a 114060 dial at a reasonable price and send it to Germany, please contact me.

You are a brave man. especially on a dial with applied markers. with my luck I would be on hands and knees searching for one that flew off

I'am still waiting for the new dial. The one without misprint in " oyster perpetual date" . I ordered it 15 days ago but it takes it time.

As you may have read, the dial of my Heritage unfortunately has a printing error. Instead of "Oyster Perpetula" it is marked "Oyster Perpetula Date". After almost half a year, I have now found and, above all, received the correct dial. It is a ZF that has the correct diameter for my case and the feet in the position for the 3130.
So I took the time again to change the golden markers. This time it was a bit more complicated - the hour markers had a smaller clamping diameter and so I had to drill out the dial at the hour markers a bit.

Here you can see a few pictures of the conversion and the complete clock. I am very happy with the result; the new ZF dial has a nicer font and fits perfectly.

Yes, unfortunately the ceramic insert is broken. But because I glued it in, it's hardly noticeable. I have to live with that now ;-)
