Try this for dentures. You will get a perfect result. In other countries it‘s called Poligrip or Polident.

Thanks for the tip - I'll try that.

I did have some success after my last post with a mixture of plain flour, salt, vinegar and a little baking soda:

The finish looks nice and even. Thanks for sharing. Is there a specific time to submerge the watch in the solution? Like for lemon, it is not recommended to submerge more than 15 minutes, give or take, depending on the concentration, as it may result to bronze disease.

I did it in two steps á 3-4 minutes. The solution doesn‘t seem too aggressive. I got the tip from a forum for gen watches.

Is doing the whole procedure wityh ammonia fumes damaging the OR and the internal gaskets?

I've done waterproofing test in may2020 to my PAM382 and everything was fine up to 30m (definetely over my actual limits), worn the whole summer even underwater and in December decided to clean it with lemon since the patina was getting off due to everyday use with suits and pullover.

Did the "normal" sequence with salted water + ammonia fumes in 4cycle of 5mins... but at the end I noticed that lower part of the glass (at 5) was blurred, like having some opacity. I waited it to dry overnight and everything was ok, then went to the office and noticed the opacity again. Now a month has passed, but I'm a bit afraid for next summer...

All watches can lose their water resistance over time, gaskets, seals etc all degrade. Best to get serviced and resealed etc

I do quite a bit of restoration work on brass and one of my go to cleaners is Brasso. Helps to use a scotch bright pad and/or brass brush too.
