Tell me about it. I've got the money mate, I'm not building anything up on my credit cards. I just need to slow things down a little.

Bought another last night on here. The 508 ceramic with st2555 movement on m2m basis. He was selling it as it has a fault where the second hand Judders between seconds 1-30 on the sub-dial. Got it $160 shipped. What a steal. I have the DLC version with same movement so if I can't fix it the fault I'll swap them straight over with each other then give the faulty one to my brother for free. Either way both together have only cost me $328 combined with 4 straps and the dlc version also comes with 2 watch carry case on special promotion deal. Flog the case and 2 straps on eBay and I'm quids in!

Happy days, that's a cracking deal you've got there mind fella. You can't lose either way it works out.
As for the 671,you don't need to rush,I wouldn't be hammering the CC's too.Its still going to be there next month or whenever you decide to buy it.
Personally I love mine & think it's a top watch for the price they charge.I just hope they can make the PAM700 as good but that's another thread.Heres a pic of mine today in daylight after wax sealing it last night

@Sparky28 i´m really curious to see how the wax-sealing will work. just ordered a vsf 382 from sead and i´m not really the patina-guy, so i hope it will keep it´s shine :D

No problem pal
I will post updates every couple of days hopefully showing if it's successful but TBH the method I use with PEEK only takes 20mins.This includes stripping the watch down so if you didn't want to take the straps off etc then it would take even less time.
So worst case scenario is maybe having to clean it weekly or possibly fortnightly.
This obviously all depends on how often you wear the watch

I like the new bronze look but I also like the patina when it has not gone too deep. Good thing about the wax is , with metal not being porous is it won't penetrate the material like it does when you wax wood and it penetrates the grain structure so your option are still open as it will wear off over time or you can clean it off just like you did with the patina. How easy it will come off is dependent on how hard the wax sets. Wax on any surface is only as a protector and is never permanent over the long run except with maybe the exception of wood so a good choice really!

The bronze was definitely dulling a little after a few days which is why I thought of trying some sort of sealant.
Like you said,it's not permanent, which is ideal if I ever wanted to try the deep patina look.
The wax itself is put on very sparingly so I would imagine removing it wouldn't be too much trouble,

Like car wax or another, would have to been done periodically to keep protection from oxidisation I would imagine! Oh and I'm already scouring through Ebay for brown/ kahki, leather/canvas watches straps and bronze buckles and I haven't even got a 671 yet lol! [emoji23][emoji23]

I've seen a couple on strap central,I just need to make a decision.Im torn between a couple of dark brown at the moment BUT that could change to lighter colours,
Unfortunately my mind is like my underwear.....It could change a couple of times a week ha ha [emoji6]

It deserves a great strap though

Just looking buddy. You do drop on some very cheap but nice quality alternatives to the well known expensive brand named ones.

i don't know if you have seen this guy or not.... but I have 4 of his bronze buckles ( vintage style) attached to various straps for my 382 bronzo...

https://marinestraps.wordpress.com/vintage-style/

they have patina nicely too. I'm well satisfied with them.

Cheers for the link,I've bookmarked it & will have a proper look over the weekend.
They look top quality
The tubes are an extra cost ,Am I right in thinking that these are what's needed to fasten the buckle to the strap?
