Breitling Premier Panda

I know that GF has rep this watch, but it comes with a larger thickness (15mm) compared to the gen (13.65mm), and consequently a sunken date wheel. Anyone who has bought this rep can comment if the watch still sits well on the wrist at 15mm?

Ah you are really twisting the knife in the wound! I have another version of this B1 based watch (see here) and it is a difficult discussion. I really love the watch but the combination of the a little too small dial (at least to my taste and wrist size), the thickness and sunken date makes me wear it very little. Eventually you can get use to it (especially if you compare the price of the rep to the gen), but this is one of the watches where I am pondering going gen. Unless the factories figures out to make a better rep like they did for the Navitimer.

I am being a little critical because I like this model very much, so I focus on the details when I get it on. I would still largely recommend you getting it if you like it. Nothing like having it on your own wrist will tell you what to do with it. It is not an investment for life anyway.

Thanks for the honest feedback! My second option would be the Breitling Deus Panda, but I don't see it being listed on TDs' websites anymore

The Top Time is a much better choice, it’s still on trusty website

I don't know much about the Top Time line but I know it is B01 based, and even if it was cloned most likely would have the same thickness issue. But I leave this to others with more knowledge (but boy is that combination of dial design and leather strap beautiful! I wouldn't be sleeping at night until I got it )

GF has a version too
BLS - Dial appears white when it should be cream. Saw some complaints over movement quality
GF - Correct cream colour but "SWISS MADE" at 6" is missing

I have the GF version and it’s not to thick I think it’s like 1.2mm thicker.. I don’t think anyone would notice it unless it’s side by side.

I love my b01!! Only complaint is the alligator strap is a little stiff and with that I feel it pushes up off the wrist. Maybe over time it will break in.. but i think it looks much better and more wearable without the alligator strap. Ever since I changed to a rally strap it’s been perfect ever since!

That's a really nice looking rep! Looks like the pretty much nailed a lot of the finer details of the gen.
