Breitling Leather strap treatment.

Guys, I have finally bought an original Breitling strap and want to know if you recommend waterproofing this with leather conditioner or some other product.?
It is so soft I would think it would stain or mark really easily.

lol, it is for fine leather boots and you find it with the shoe polish. it is in a can like kiwi shoe polish wax and is the same in consistency, it isn't liquid. lol

both mink and glove oil work well. If its a light strap (tan or blue) it may change the color some. Otherwise you can try suede protectant (spray on) kind of like scotch guard.
