The machined bezel on the rep typically is not close to the machining quality on the gen. To me this and the sunken date wheel are the first things to which my eye are drawn.

I always find that the rehaut on the rep Bentleys, combined with the rep crystal give these away. I haven't seen a rep 6.75 in person. I have much experience with the motors, and motors t.

Would you say that the rehaut is accurate in these. The gens look like the dial is almost right up against the crystal, whereas the rep Bentley motors are set much lower from the crystal. What is your take on that issue with your rep?

Thanks !

I know we like to scrutinize the reps to death, but the 6.75 specifically is one of the better reps of Breitlings they make; at least in the top few models made into reps.
Well, that's just not true at all. There are a number of Breitling super reps out there, and the entire Bentley line isn't one of them. I have a Blue faced, 6.75 that I love, but I'm not under any disillusionment that it is not glaringly bad. The hands, dial and date font/color are all very wrong, as is the fit and finish of the bracelet in comparison to the Gen.

Heck theyre pretty dang good for $300-400 USD vs. $10,000 USD
Now THAT'S true.

Old old old school thread dredging here... Sorry

Now THAT'S true.

I owned the gen brown sunburst dial for a couple of years, and I honestly regret selling it. I have from the day I agreed to the deal (same buyer bought a Tudor heritage chrono with it which I really didn't like very much and wanted to move... He refused taking one without the other)

Anyway, I too have had quite a few breitling gens, Frankens and reps. For me, the tells barely bother me (within reason... Sunken date wheels and spelling errors being the exception... And those stupid bloody 21j fake tourbillons - yuk!), but the hit and miss quality of the bracelets really get to me... Get a good rep bracelet and they're really very close to gen, but some versions are absolutely horrible - and the kicker is that there's no consistency that I've seen. Same versions (apparently) of the same rep have different quality bracelets in my experience. Tony a7750 told me once that that can be because the factory runs low on parts sometimes and has to source from different suppliers.

So, with a set of gen hands, is the overall quality of this rep going to bother me in the opinion of those that have experience with the rep and the gen, or should I just buy the gen again?
