Is the date number color is blue and the date plate panel color is silver? on this new FK v3 roman dial SS.

The gen’s date number color is blue and the date plate color is silver. (not white)

Acording to my further research, here are the conclusion for now. see the gen pictures below.

For the 5177 SS Plaid texture dial with leather strap model: The number on the dial should be 3934 not 3944. Black color date font and white background is correct for this 5177 Ss Plaid texture dial model.
3944 is correct only for yellow gold case. Black color font and white background is correct for this model. Therefore, if YG is available then it could be a super rep.

For the 5177 SS Plaid Texture dial with SS bracelet and 5177 RG plaid texture dial with leather strap: the number on dial should be 3334 and the date font should be blue and white background.

For the 5177 SS dot texture dial with laether strap: the number on dial should be 3464 and the date font color should be blue and silver background.

I pulled out my FK version 2 rose gold watch to see if the new V3 is slimmer. The profile pic doesn't look TOO different to me. It looks like maybe 0.5mm thinner based on the bottom of the crown. Still much thicker than gen and MK is slimmer. FK has the best attention to details, MK has the slimmest.

July 2018, for 5177 rep, FK v3 came out recently.

At the same time recently, a few TDs listed MK version too.

It makes confusion.
Is the newly listed 5177 rep MK factory version really new version with some improvement? or is it just re-listing the same version that is originally released in November 2017?

This is inaccurate.

Numbers on Breguet dials are production numbers. It has nothing to do with the reference. Maybe they use the reference on dials on computer generated images for their websites but in real life it is running numbers.

MK isn't a super rep because

1. The enamel dial has super thick font
2. The straps are garbage compared to gen (FK's straps are almost like gen)
3. The date wheels of the guilloche dials don't have a silver backing.
4. The hands don't have the length and finish of the gen. The seconds hand needs to taper a bit more at the end.

There is still room for improvement needed.

Thanks for the information! That is a good news then! So, now only concern for the FK v3 version is the real-life picture verification of the date font / background color and actual thickness compare to gen.


At least, black color date font and white background is correct for this 5177 SS Plaid texture dial model and YG. Only the thickness is the remaining issue, once someone confirms it is really 9mm as advertised, then it will clear the issue.

My rose gold FK v2 is on the right. It looks slightly smaller but not significantly so - to see the difference look specifically at the bottom of the crown on each image. The Rose gold v2 is 10.35mm thick. I don't think there is an additional 1.3mm shaved down.

By the way, could please share your experience with rose gold plated rep?

I would like to buy rose gold 18k plated rep but I assume that rose gold plating will come off or change the color eventually and will reveal the steel inside, because the rep is not a “solid” 18k rose gold watch like gen. How do you think?

I visited to the official store to see the gen.

In person, The white gold case gen with the plaid dial has the silver background color of the date number wheel and the date font color is almost black with a little bit of blue hue. It is strange that the date font color is black and the background color of the date number wheel is white - according to the official website picture.

In person, The yellow gold case gen with the plaid dial has the silver background color of the date number wheel and the date font color is blue. Can someone provide a real life photo of this new released FK v3 or another new released MK version of this 5177 model ?

Now I guess MKF and FK they are same company?? ???? exactly same time they produce exact same model that looks same. Some TDs list MK and some TDs list FK. One TD told me that MK one is also newly produced product too. Both incorrectly have the white background on the date wheel plate, instead of silver color. Not 100% sure that it is right

nice find! the very first shot shows the correct dark metallic blue and silver colored date plate but the second picture shows black color date and white color date plate. what a confusion. still...
